Sarah Palin doubles down on her bizarro mangling of the Paul Revere story.

Here is the “shout out, gotcha type of question” which so confused the former Vice-Presidential candidate:

“What have you seen so far today, and what are you going to take away from your visit?”

Meanwhile an apparent supporter of Ms Palin has been trying to edit the Wikipedia entry on Paul Revere to give her support to her account. His source for the accuracy of Ms Palin’s claims? Why, Ms Palin herself:

Sarah Palin is a former governor of Alaska as well as a presidential candidate [sic] of one of the two national parties in the United States. Her account of Paul Revere’s famous ride has achieved national attention from most mainstream media — LA Times, CNN, you name it. There are numerous reliable sources quoted her exact words on this subject…

This is beyond ignorant. This is beyond stupid. This is insane.

This is normal for Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin is dumber than a box of rocks. She still has the rubes fooled tho. This, from a Youtube comment:

Hey, libtards - Just because Sarah is smarter than you, better looking than you, more dedicated to America than you, and going to Heaven while you are going to Hell, doesn’t mean you should hate her. You should try to be more like her.

Intrade gives a 41.9% chance of Sarah Palin formally announcing a run for President before midnight ET on 31 Dec 2011. God help America…

“He thinks things are going in a bad direction. Roger is worried about the future of the country. He thinks the election of Obama is a disaster. He thinks Palin is an idiot. He thinks she’s stupid. He helped boost her up. People like Sarah Palin haven’t elevated the conservative movement.” A “Republican close to Ailes” quoted in “The Elephant in the Green Room” (via ryking)

Sarah Palin: We’ve got to stand with our North Korean allies

“She knew nothing. She had to be taken through World War I, World War II, the Cold War, and Palin was not aware there was a difference between North and South Korea. She continued to insist that Iraq was behind 9/11; and when her son was being sent off to Iraq, she couldn’t describe who we were fighting.”

“When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.” - Lewis Sinclair 1935 (not 1835!)
(via LOL god)
UPDATED! The attribution to Lewis Sinclair (note the name) appears to be false. The quote seems to derive from something like this:

“When and if fascism comes to America it will not be labeled ‘made in Germany’; it will not be marked with a swastika; it will not even be called fascism; it will be called, of course, ‘Americanism’” – An uncredited New York Times reporter covering Halford E. Luccock in an article published September 12, 1938.

Kudos to @orethrage for the catch :)
